The Economic Development Commission is responsible for expanding the tax base of the Town of Ledyard and for advocating, facilitating, promoting, and advising on economic development issues within the town.
Carol Schneider is a retired Ledyard resident. She has worked at the U.S. Submarine Base, Mystic River Press, Norwich Bulletin and at an independent shop at Mohegan Sun. Elizabeth Peterson is a nuclear engineer at Dominion’s Millstone Power Station and teaches physics at University of New Haven. She has lived in Ledyard since 1990 with her sons completing K-12 in Ledyard Public Schools. She is committed to developing Ledyard while sustaining its traditions. Eric McDermott serves as the Electric Operation Integrity Manager for Norwich Public Utilities. He holds a B.S. in Marine Engineering, an MBA, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Eric has experience in Project and Operations Management and currently serves as an officer in the United States Navy Reserve. He grew up in Ledyard, graduating from Ledyard High School in 1998 and returned to Ledyard to live in 2009.
Richard Tashea is a long time Ledyard resident and retired business owner with decades of experience in Ledyard governance including being a former Town Councilor.
Michael Dreimiller has lived in Ledyard since 1961 and graduated from LHS in 1977. He has worked at Connecticut College for 15 years as a Digital Media Specialist and previously worked at Sonalysts, Vitro, and Electric Boat.
